A User's Deadline Is One Budget Divided Among the Hops, Not a Timeout Repeated at Each One
The curation's description promises the learner can say what a change costs every request in flight, and a request's cost is only meaningful against the deadline it lives inside. This node rests on connection reuse for what a hop actually costs, and it is what the tail-latency and fan-out nodes measure against. It deliberately allocates budget only: exponential backoff, retry budgets and circuit breakers are curation 2's, and Little's Law is curation 2's `flow-littles-law`, linked rather than re-taught.
