Adult CPR

Adult CPR combines cycles of thirty chest compressions with two rescue breaths to circulate oxygenated blood when the heart has stopped. Kneel beside the person, place the heel of one hand on the center of the chest on the lower half of the breastbone, stack your other hand on top, lock your elbows, and press hard and fast — at least two inches deep at one hundred to one hundred twenty compressions per minute, allowing full chest recoil between compressions. Begin CPR only after confirming unresponsiveness and absent or abnormal breathing, and only after emergency services have been called. Continue with minimal interruptions until an AED arrives, professionals take over, or the person clearly recovers.
