Analog vs Digital Sensor Outputs

Analog sensors encode the measurand as a continuous voltage, current, or resistance; digital sensors do their own conversion on-chip and emit discrete logic states, PWM duty cycles, or bus messages. The choice determines whether the microcontroller's ADC or a bus peripheral does the work, and where noise and calibration errors enter.
