Analytical Dipole Model of Metasurfaces with Anisotropic Meta-Atom Polarizabilities
A closed-form dipole-moment model for the optical resonances of metasurfaces whose meta-atoms have anisotropic electric and magnetic dipole polarizabilities under oblique illumination. It expresses the angle-dependent dipole lattice sums and the resulting transmittance and specular reflectivity directly in terms of particle dipole moments, exposing the electric-magnetic dipole coupling behind collective resonances; validated on silicon-nanoprism metasurfaces and compared to coupled dipole-quadrupole methods.
