Anterolateral Abdominal Wall Anatomy

This concept covers the anterolateral abdominal wall in human gross anatomy, focusing on the layered muscular architecture (transversus abdominis and its aponeurosis) and the arcuate line, the point below which the posterior rectus sheath disappears and only transversalis fascia lies deep to rectus abdominis. It also addresses the vascular supply of this region via the superior and inferior epigastric arteries and veins, which run through the rectus sheath to perfuse the anterior abdominal wall.
