An antibody is fit for IHC only if it is shown to detect the intended target in that fixation format, using orthogonal evidence such as knockout or knockdown tissue, independent antibodies to different epitopes, or correlation with an independent assay. Vendor 'IHC-validated' claims are not evidence.
