Biophysical Dynamical-Systems Model of the C. elegans Premotor Network

A minimally parameterized, connectome-constrained dynamical-systems model in which about fifteen recurrently connected premotor neurons, driven by over a hundred presynaptic sensory and interneurons and tuned to whole-brain imaging and voltage-clamp data, reproduces the nematode's forward-reversal switching, subnetwork synchronization, and behavioral modes, and separates the roles of gap junctions and chemical synapses.
