Brake Pad Bedding-In Procedure

Bedding transfers an even film of pad material onto fresh rotors through a series of progressively harder slowdowns without coming to a complete stop, then a cooling drive — building consistent friction and preventing judder from uneven deposits. On a Prius, use B mode or firm pedal pressure so the friction brakes (not regen) actually do the work during the procedure.
