Community-Based Comment-Curation Interventions for Social Annotation at Scale
Design-and-evaluation study on the NB social-annotation platform showing that targeted comment-visibility curation strategies reduce discussion overload and improve peer interaction in large online courses. Two large-scale experiments involving thousands of students refine the curation features iteratively, and the findings are mapped to opportunities for integrating large language models for annotation summarization, student-writing clarity, and instructor-side comment curation.
