Crime Hotspot Mapping of Dessie City Using GIS Spatial Statistics

An empirical geospatial analysis that maps the spatial clustering of crime in Dessie City, Ethiopia. Using GIS, it detects statistically significant hot and cold spots with Moran's I and Getis-Ord Gi*, characterizes crime distribution and directionality with mean-center and standard-deviational-ellipse statistics, and predicts likely future crime locations through geostatistical interpolation, in order to inform targeted policing in developing cities.
