Dermatome Levels of the Upper Limb in Human Anatomy

Dermatomes are the segmental areas of skin innervated by the sensory fibers of a single spinal nerve root, and the upper limb is supplied by a contiguous sequence of cervical and upper thoracic dermatomes (C5 through T1/T2). This belongs to human anatomy and neuroanatomy, specifically the mapping of peripheral sensory distribution to spinal cord segmental origin, and relates directly to the segmental nerve root organization of the brachial plexus.
