Device-Independent Quantum Random Number Generation via Prepare-and-Measure Self-Testing

A method for certifying genuine quantum randomness without trusting the internal workings of the devices, in the prepare-and-measure setting where one black box prepares a quantum state and another measures it over a quantum channel. Self-tests derived from nonlocal games (the CHSH game and, newly, the pseudo-telepathy game) serve as distinguishers between classical and quantum behavior, certifying device independence and underwriting the extracted random bits.
