Electroproduction of Bc, Bs, and Ds Mesons in NRQCD at Lepton-Hadron Colliders

A leading-order nonrelativistic-QCD (NRQCD) calculation of the electroproduction of heavy-flavored mesons -- Bc, Bs, and Ds -- at electron-proton colliders, in which a virtual photon strikes a gluon from the proton. Factorizing the process into a perturbative short-distance amplitude and a long-distance matrix element set by the meson's wave function at the origin, and integrating over four-body phase space with the gluon parton distribution, it yields total and differential (cos-theta, pT^2) cross sections at HERA and the EIC. Bc is found unobservable at HERA but promising at the EIC, while the single-heavy-quark mesons Bs and Ds have large but quark-mass- and renormalization-scale-sensitive rates.
