Ferromagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy of Standing Spin Waves in Magnetic Nanostructures

How ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) probes the quantized standing spin-wave eigenmodes of confined magnetic elements - nanodisks, nanorings, and 3D nanovolcanoes - and how their spectrum is set by geometry, the internal demagnetizing field, exchange stiffness and anisotropy. Covers the progression from cavity-based FMR on large arrays to broadband coplanar-waveguide FMR on individual nanoelements, and from planar 2D to 3D geometries, as used in magnonics and high-density magnetic recording.
