Field-Induced Superparamagnetic Spin Dynamics in Tb i-MAX Compounds

Frequency-dependent ac susceptibility on the (Mo2/3Tb1/3)2AlC i-MAX compound reveals a field-induced superparamagnetic state, distinguished from a canonical spin glass by a large Mydosh parameter (~0.168), that coexists with an incommensurate spin-density wave. Relaxation times follow a double-Arrhenius temperature dependence, marking Tb-i as a transitional member of the i-MAX family between spin-stable and fluctuation-dominated compounds.
