Combines shape-mode analysis (PCA of tangent-angle waveforms) with regularized-Stokeslet swimming simulations to quantify how Chlamydomonas reinhardtii flagellar gait changes with viscosity, decomposing the beat into a time-independent mean shape and a time-varying stroke and showing the mean-shape change is the primary driver of the observed decrease in swimming speed.
