Flow-Kick Model of Dryland Vegetation Patterns

An applied-mathematics model of banded dryland vegetation in which storms act as instantaneous kicks to soil water, whose spatial profiles encode infiltration feedbacks, and between-storm dynamics follow a two-component reaction-diffusion system; linear stability analysis and simulation assess how rainfall variability affects the resilience of the patterns.
