Fluorescent Western Blot Detection

Secondary antibodies conjugated to near-infrared dyes emit in proportion to bound antibody with no enzymatic turnover, giving a wider linear dynamic range and stable signal for re-imaging. Two spectrally distinct dyes allow target and loading control to be measured on the same blot simultaneously, avoiding stripping, though sensitivity for very low-abundance targets is usually below ECL.
