Fox-Flory Scaling of Glass Transition and Fragility in Oligomers

The glass transition temperature Tg and dynamic fragility m of homologous polymer series (PS, P2VP, PDMS, PB) are both linear in inverse molecular weight 1/M (Fox-Flory form), and their dielectric relaxation-time curves collapse onto a single SL-TS2 'ideal Boyer polymer' master curve. The characteristic molecular weights are very small (~40-200 g/mol), so Fox-Flory behavior holds for all oligomers and polymers above ~1000 g/mol, extending SL-TS2 near-universality down to low molecular weight.
