General Relativity and Curved Spacetime
Einstein's theory of gravitation, in which gravity is the curvature of a pseudo-Riemannian spacetime governed by the Einstein field equations relating curvature to the stress-energy of matter. Provides the classical framework (geodesics, metrics, cosmological solutions, black holes) that quantum gravity seeks to quantize.
