Ground-State Energy of the Neutron-Rich Isotope Hydrogen-6 from Electron Scattering

The first production of the extremely neutron-rich, unbound isotope hydrogen-6 in an electron-scattering reaction, 7Li(e,e'p pi+)6H, using triple-coincidence detection of the scattered electron, a proton, and a positive pion at a magnetic spectrometer facility. The reconstructed missing-mass spectrum locates the 6H ground-state resonance at 2.3 MeV above the triton-plus-three-neutron threshold with a width near 1.9 MeV, constraining models of multi-nucleon interactions.
