Heavy Quark Energy Loss Transition at Intermediate Momentum in QGP
Computing heavy quark suppression (RAA) and anisotropic flow (v2) in the intermediate-momentum regime where quark mass effects matter, to expose the transition between collisional and radiative energy loss. Elastic scattering and semi-collinear gluon bremsstrahlung are folded consistently into one Boltzmann equation through a diffusion collision kernel, with the heavy quark diffusion coefficient constrained by lattice QCD data and a running coupling, evolved over hydrodynamically expanding media in noncentral heavy-ion collisions (Phys. Rev. C 111, 044910 (2025); arXiv:2501.01600).
Heavy quark suppression and anisotropic flow at intermediate momentum
In an intermediate-momentum regime where mass effects are significant, heavy quark suppression and anisotropic flow are computed to investigate the transition between the collisional and radiative en…
