Kinematically-Enhanced Interpolating Operators for Boosted Hadrons

A choice of lattice-QCD interpolating operator, motivated by the kinematics of a hadron at large momentum, that increases the ground-state overlap factor of the correlation-function signal without increasing its statistical variance. Because the enhancement multiplies the signal but not the noise, correlators for highly-boosted pions and nucleons attain better signal-to-noise ratios at large momentum, extending reliable lattice extraction of ground-state energies and matrix elements into the high-boost regime needed for collider and Electron-Ion-Collider physics.
