Lettuce Tipburn Is Calcium Starvation From Fast Growth and Still Air
Calcium travels to leaves only in the transpiration stream, so fast-growing inner lettuce leaves in still, humid air get too little and their margins brown. Cornell work links a DLI above 17 to tipburn; a small fan over the canopy often prevents it.
