Liming Brassica Beds to pH 7.2 Suppresses but Never Cures Clubroot
Liming to pH 7.0–7.2 well before planting, preferably with calcitic lime, keeps clubroot spores from infecting brassica roots. Spores survive up to ~18 years, so pair liming with a long rotation away from brassicas; watch for boron shortage at high pH on sand.
