Long-Term Gamma-Ray Flux Trends in Fermi-LAT Jetted Active Galactic Nuclei

A systematic decade-scale search for slow linear or quadratic trends in the gamma-ray flux of jetted active galactic nuclei, distinct from their usual stochastic variability, using about 12 years of Fermi-LAT light curves for thousands of sources. Trends detected in a subset are characterized and interpreted as signatures of supermassive black-hole binary dynamics or intrinsic jet evolution.
