Mermaid Flowcharts and Diagrams in Markdown

This concerns diagrammatic modeling notations used in software design and documentation, in the tradition of the Unified Modeling Language (UML): flowcharts for modeling process flow and branching, sequence diagrams for modeling interactions and message order among multiple participants over time, class diagrams for modeling the static structure of classes, their members, and relationships (inheritance, composition, aggregation), and entity-relationship diagrams for modeling domain concepts, their attributes, and cardinality of relationships between them. These notations belong to the domain of software design and systems modeling, providing a formal, text-describable vocabulary for representing structure and behavior independent of any specific implementation language.
