For constant-coefficient equations with polynomial, exponential, or sinusoidal forcing, guess a particular solution of the same functional family with unknown coefficients and solve for them by substitution. When the guess duplicates a homogeneous solution, multiply by t (repeatedly if needed) to restore independence.
