Multiplexing Cold Neutron Spectrometer with Double-Column Rowland Focusing Analyzers

A multiplexing cold-neutron spectrometer design that replaces the single analyzer channel of a triple-axis spectrometer with 34 angular analyzing channels, using double-column Rowland focusing analyzers that fill the crystal gaps of standard Rowland geometry to widen beam coverage and intensity without significant double-scattering, raising inelastic-scattering measurement efficiency by two orders of magnitude.
