Neveu-Schwarz Flux-Induced Vacua for the Critical Non-Abelian Vortex String

A string-theory analysis of how a Neveu-Schwarz 3-form flux deforms the effective potential for the conifold complex-structure modulus of the critical non-Abelian vortex string arising in 4D N=2 supersymmetric QCD. The exact modulus potential is derived at fixed conifold background, the metric back reaction is included by solving the supergravity equations of motion, and the resulting potential is shown to produce a runaway vacuum in which the conifold degenerates.
