Nonverbal Communication

Nonverbal communication is the transmission of meaning through channels other than words, such as posture, eye contact, tone of voice, and gesture. You will learn how nonverbal signals can confirm or contradict a spoken message, and how attentive nonverbal behavior communicates that a listener is engaged. You will practice reading nonverbal cues as one input among several rather than as certain proof of another person's state.
