Plant-Factory Strawberries Pay Only with Premium Prices and Managed Indoor Pollination
Day-neutral strawberries need roughly 17–25 mol/m^2/day, occupy racks for months, and set misshapen berries without thorough pollination, so indoor farms that grow them (e.g. in New Jersey and Japan) release bumblebees or honeybees and sell at premium prices.
