Primary Antibody Titration
The vendor dilution is a starting point, not an optimum: the working concentration is found by titrating across a range on a fixed lysate and choosing the dilution that maximizes specific band intensity relative to background. Too much antibody raises nonspecific bands and background; too little pushes the signal below the detector's noise floor.
