Projected Spread Models with Hidden-to-Explicit Type Codes in Symbolic Dynamics

A model of disease transmission on an infinite tree in which each individual carries a hidden type, an observable explicit type is obtained by applying a 0-block code that collapses hidden types, and the limiting frequency of each explicit type (the spread rate) is computed in closed form from the Perron eigenvector of the model's transition matrix.
