Psychological Safety in Teams

Psychological safety is a shared team belief that it is safe to take interpersonal risks, such as asking questions, admitting mistakes, or raising concerns, without fear of embarrassment or punishment. You will learn to recognize the behavioral markers of a psychologically safe team and the leader behaviors, such as inviting input and responding productively to failure, that build it. You will also learn why psychological safety predicts team learning and performance in Amy Edmondson's research.
