Qubit

A two-level quantum system whose state is a normalized complex linear combination a|0> + b|1>; unlike a classical bit, its state lives in a 2D complex Hilbert space and only yields a definite 0 or 1 upon measurement with probabilities |a|^2 and |b|^2.
