Raman Imaging
Raman imaging records a full spectrum at every point of a raster scan, producing a hyperspectral cube from which false-colour chemical maps are built by band intensity, band ratio, or multivariate decomposition. Confocal detection rejects out-of-focus scatter, enabling depth sectioning as well as lateral mapping.
