RNA Velocity

Intronic reads mark unspliced pre-mRNA and exonic reads mark spliced mRNA; a kinetic model of transcription, splicing and degradation turns their ratio per gene into a predicted direction of change. It gives a directed arrow field over the embedding rather than an undirected ordering.
