Safe Vehicle Lifting on Jack Stands

Crack the lug nuts on the ground, lift at the factory pinch-weld or subframe jacking points on a level hard surface, and transfer the load to rated jack stands before any part of you goes near the wheel well — the floor jack is a lifting tool, never a support. Chock the wheels still on the ground; a hybrid in READY can creep, so the car must be fully off.
