Semantics-Guided Diffusion Joint Source-Channel Coding in Wireless Image Transmission

A deep joint source-channel coding scheme for wireless image transmission that replaces the neural decoder with a diffusion model steered by semantic side information (a text caption or edge map), so denoising reconstructs the specific transmitted image, and uses a second semantics-guided diffusion model for channel denoising that adapts to slow- and fast-fading channels without pilot symbols.
