Semi-Quenched Invariance Principle for the Random Lorentz Gas

The random Lorentz gas models a point particle bouncing elastically among randomly (Poisson) placed hard spherical scatterers in three dimensions. This result strengthens a known annealed scaling limit -- convergence of the diffusively rescaled trajectory to Brownian motion averaged over environments -- into a quenched statement valid for almost every fixed environment along fast subsequences, established by synchronously coupling multiple trajectories through the same scatterer field.
