Stale Seedbed Flushes Spring Weeds Before Crops Are Sown
Prepare the bed 1–3 weeks early, let the first flush of weeds emerge, then kill them by flaming or hoeing no deeper than 2–3 cm so no new seeds are brought up, and sow into the cleaned surface.
