Applying stochastic (semiclassical) gravity to the Casimir effect: starting from the Einstein-Langevin equation -- which augments the semiclassical Einstein equation with a stochastic noise term encoding fluctuations of the quantum stress-energy tensor -- the authors derive the first-order correction it induces in the Casimir force between two parallel conducting plates. The result shows the correction depends sensitively on both the plate separation and the order parameter characterizing the weak gravitational field, quantifying how spacetime-metric fluctuations perturb the vacuum-energy-driven attraction between the plates.
