Trichoderma Seed and Root Treatments Attack Damping-Off and Root-Rot Fungi
Trichoderma (e.g. T. harzianum strain T-22) colonises roots and coils around Pythium and Rhizoctonia hyphae, dissolving their walls with enzymes. Mixed into seed compost or applied as a seed treatment before sowing it reduces damping-off; added after plants collapse it cannot rescue them.
