Voice Behavior

Voice behavior is the discretionary act of speaking up with ideas, concerns, or objections that could improve a situation, as opposed to staying silent. You will learn the difference between voice and silence as distinct choices with different risk profiles, and the organizational conditions, like status differences, that suppress voice even when people privately disagree. You will use this concept to explain why psychologically safe teams surface more problems earlier.
