Why Heritability Describes a Population and Not a Person

The first and most common heritability misreading: taking 17% heritable to mean '17% of my voice pitch comes from my genes'. The estimate is a share of between-person variance in one sample, so it has no per-person reading at all. This node fixes the referent of the number before any other correction is attempted.
